IS THIS THERAPY AND DO YOU WORK WITH CLIENTS’ THERAPISTS?

Aaron’s Legacy is a mediation and counseling service, not a therapy provider. While therapists are general mental health professionals who address a wide range of issues, we specialize in helping individuals and families navigate the unique challenges of family estrangement.

We offer tailored strategies for coping and potentially working toward reconciliation or acceptance of estrangement. We welcome working with therapists and maintain a reciprocal relationship with therapists, often referring clients to them for broader mental health issues, and we receive referrals from therapists who value our expertise in estrangement.

DOES AARONS LEGACY WORK WITH FAMILIES AS A GROUP AND INDIVIDUALS AS WELL?

Yes, we do. Family group work is facilitated through Family Assessment and Mediation sessions, where two or more family members work with a mediator. For individual work, we offer Individual Assessments and Counseling sessions, conducted one-on-one.

Additional family members in mediation can also schedule individual counseling sessions by booking their own Individual Assessment and Counseling sessions.

WILL AARONS LEGACY CONTACT MY FAMILY MEMBER(S) AND INVITE THEM TO MEDIATION? WILL THEY HELP ME DRAFT A LETTER OF AMENDS?

Yes, we can assist with both. If requested, we will help you reach out to your family members and invite them to participate in mediation, as well as help you draft a Letter of Amends.

HOW DO I KNOW MEDIATION WILL LEAD TO RECONCILIATION?

Unfortunately, you don’t. We do not know until we try. The likelihood of reconciliation increases dramatically when family members mediate, but reconciliation depends on all parties’ willingness to do so.

While there is no definitive data on the exact success rate, we see very often see positive outcomes when family members are authentically committed to working through their issues.

At Aarons Legacy, estrangement mediation and counseling are our sole and narrow focus. We are certified estrangement mediators and counselors, not therapists or life coaches. We are the only Estrangement Mediation provider that blends the wisdom of ancient techniques with modern mediation protocols to achieve the desired results.

This specialized training and experience are crucial for effectively addressing family disconnections. Our expertise is in helping individuals and families navigate estrangement, whereas therapists work with a broader range of mental health challenges.

There are very few specialists in this field who focus exclusively on family estrangement.
